Zinzi

Terms of Use

For everyone with a Zinzi account: learners 18 or over, parents and guardians, and a parent or guardian agreeing for a learner under 18.

What Zinzi is

Zinzi is an AI tutor. It explains, asks questions and checks working, and it can be wrong. It is not your school, a teacher at your school, a doctor or a counsellor, and it does not set or mark official exams. Check anything that matters, such as an exam date or a mark, with your school.

Who may have an account

A learner 18 or over makes their own account and agrees for themselves. A learner under 18 can make an account, but a parent or guardian must agree before anything is kept; until then lessons are not saved. Choosing 18 or over when you are younger does not skip this, and is not allowed.

Using Zinzi well

Use Zinzi to learn. Do not use it to hand in work as your own where that is not allowed, to harass anyone, or to get around its safety rules. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. If a lesson suggests someone may be unsafe, Zinzi stops and says so, and the concern goes to the Zinzi Safeguarding & Learner Safety Team.

Your work

What you write, say or photograph in a lesson stays yours. You let Zinzi use it to teach you and to keep your lessons and progress, as the Privacy Notice explains.

Mock exams and progress

Mock exams are practice. Their marks are Zinzi’s estimate, not an official result, and progress shown in Zinzi is what Zinzi has seen you do, never a grade.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, Zinzi tells you and asks again. It does not assume your earlier yes covers something new.

Stopping

You can stop at any time. A learner 18 or over can delete their account from Settings. A parent or guardian can withdraw their agreement or ask for deletion from their Zinzi home.

Contact

For anything about your personal information, ask for the Zinzi Information Officer through the Zinzi Safeguarding & Learner Safety Team on 067 045 9350, who will pass it on. For a worry about a learner’s safety, contact the Zinzi Safeguarding & Learner Safety Team on 067 045 9350. If someone is in danger now, call 10111, or 112 from a mobile phone. Childline is 116.
